Our journey, our passion, our story

Discover the heart behind Isaacson Creek English Shepherds. Learn about our dedication to this remarkable breed, our history, and the values that guide us in bringing exceptional companions into your life.

The beginning of a beautiful journey

Our love affair with English Shepherds began when a family friend introduced us to these incredible dogs. Their intelligence, loyalty, and versatility immediately captivated us. We couldn't help but ask, "What kind of dogs are these?" This curiosity led us down a path of extensive research, delving deep into the breed's history and characteristics. You can learn more about the breed at englishshepherd.org.

In 2009, we found a reputable breeder and eagerly followed the progress of a litter. That's when Zoe, a beautiful black and tan female with minor white markings, joined our family. She was our very first English Shepherd. Later, we adopted Simon, a rescued male black and tan. Through Zoe and Simon, we learned invaluable lessons about the breed's unique needs and wonderful temperament.

From companions to a breeding legacy

With Zoe by our side, we began considering breeding. In 2013, at the age of three, Zoe was bred to a local sable and white male, resulting in a healthy litter of ten puppies. From that litter, we chose to keep Breezy, a striking dark sable female, to continue Zoe's line. In 2012, our family grew again with the arrival of Ranger, a sable and white male, who would become our primary breeding male.

Zoe, Ranger, and Breezy were not just breeding dogs; they were integral members of our family. Beyond their breeding roles, we enjoyed obedience classes, dabbled in agility and herding, had fun with Frisbee, and even took them kayaking. Most importantly, they shared countless hours of cherished family time, solidifying our understanding of the English Shepherd's incredible adaptability as both a working dog and a beloved companion.

Our vision for the english shepherd

Our current English Shepherd is a beautiful black and tan female, and we are eagerly planning her litter for spring 2026. We aim to continue our distinguished line by breeding her with one of our former pups, ensuring the legacy of Isaacson Creek English Shepherds lives on.

We strive to produce dogs that are the epitome of versatile all-around family and farm companions. Our English Shepherds are renowned for their intelligence and their ability to think independently. They thrive when given a job to do, but they also possess the wonderful trait of knowing how to relax and be a calm presence within the home. This balance is what truly sets our dogs apart.
