Puppy Questionnaire Isaacson Creek English Shepherds

Owner Note:

We reserve the right to make final decisions on where our animals are placed for reasons that are subject to the health and happiness of said animals and to the safety of the person/family purchasing that animal. As to puppies, temperament suitable for the home situation and use of each animal will be determined first, then color and sex, so that all parties involved are safe and happy.

1. How did you become interested in English Shepherds?

2. Do you have a kennel, fenced yard, acreage, or farm? Do you plan to crate train a puppy/dog?

3. What activities do you plan to do with your dog?

4. Where will you dog stay during the day and at night, and when they cannot be with you?

5. Do you have other animals or livestock on your property? Please describe what type of work you'd like your English Shepherd to do for you, and how you plan to teach it to accomplish this work.

6. Have you ever owned a dog? Do you have any other dogs now? What breed?

7. Do you have children? How old are they? Are there other children a puppy would associate with on a regular basis?

8. Do you see yourself ever breeding your English Shepherd? If so, who would you breed your puppy to?

9. What gender do you prefer? Why?

10. Would you consider the other gender if your preference isn't available?

11. Please describe the perfect dog for you and your family.

 

There is a $100 deposit and $600 (total cost $700) when you pick up the puppy. Your deposit will hold your place for a puppy. I will take cash, a check, money order, or PayPal made out to Karen Isaacson for the deposit. The rest due when you pick up your puppy. Our dogs are double registered, so I will register your puppy with the English Shepherd Club and give you the paperwork to register your puppy with the United Kennel Club after I register the litter.

Puppies will be placed by temperament. I will temperament test when puppies are 7 weeks old, but that being said, you can give me your preference in color and gender. Hopefully the temperament testing and the puppy color you have picked will match. If the temperament does not match you will be offered a different puppy. The more you tell me about what you are looking for the better I can match you with a puppy. Puppies will be ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks old. Puppies will have received their first puppy shots and wormed.
